Logo Design FAQ

  • How much will my logo design cost?

Probably the most common question, but unfortunately one that doesn’t have an easy answer.  Each logo design has a number of variables; as everyone has a different set of requirements. Some corporations may need several different initial concepts to choose form, while others may just need a couple. It’s like asking a car salesman how much a car will cost, well not exactly but you know what I mean.

  • Mr. X charges me this much, can you match the price?

I am passionate about what I do and I am not here to compete. I rather work with someone who values my service. If you’re only looking for a guy with a copy of Photoshop and a mouse, I’m not your guy.

  • What’s involved in the design process?

Please read this article: Logo design process

  • What is the turnaround time?

Time needed to complete a design project varies anywhere from a week to a month.

  • What will you provide me with after the project is completed?

I will provide you with native files and eps vector files, which can be used for printing at any scale with no loss in quality. In addition to that I will give you a couple image files, such as jpeg, png etc. with instructions for which format to use when. Along with 1,000 free business cards with a logo design & business card design order ;)

  • We are not in the same country; can I still work with you for my design?

Yes. With today’s technology the world is our backyard. You will not be the first and definitely not the last.

  • How do we communicate?

You can get all my contact information from my contact page.

  • Do you need any information from me?

Yes. As stated earlier I need to learn about what you do and how you do it. So please don’t place your design order and disappear.

  • Will you be able to help me with my printing?

Yes. I never used to, but I have been getting lots of complains about printers screwing up the job, for example- using the wrong file format for the job or inappropriate scaling. This has prompted me to tie up with a couple printers that have the time and patience to deal with a designer’s demands.

  • How do you accept payment?

50% of the cost prior to commencing the project is a norm. The balance needs to be paid prior to delivering the final design files. The most convenient method of payment for you is PayPal, especially if you are not next door to me.

  • Do you pay close attention to current design trends in your designs?

Yes. I do keep a close eye on how design evolves and at times recycles itself. I am constantly on the lookout for what’s new in the graphics world as well as other forms of design, which helps spark creativity that can be adapted to a particular project. But a successful design doesn’t just have to withstand a particular period of time but instead needs to carry your brand for the years ahead.

  • Will the design you create for me be used in your portfolio?

I reserve the right to include the design I created for you in my portfolio. Although you may not see your design in my portfolio for a couple of reasons- I may not have had the time to do so, I like to change up my portfolio every now and then and there is the off chance that the design may not have been a hit with my personal favourites although it suits your goal.
